I really like Uppsala. It's a historic university town. It's not that big but it has most of what you'd want in a city.
Photos from around the city.
Nice place for a walk. Interesting if you’re into unusual (but not very exotic) plants. Calmer than the Stadsträdgården. Has open outside area and inside area.
Museum.
A pretty garden with a few exhibitions and a Linnaeus gift shop.
Italian-style café with coffee, sandwitches, pastries and ice cream. Average.
Vegan food place. Bigger but simpler than Veganos, less to choose from. Small portions but tastes good.
Great food, all vegan, and they have pastries too.
This is a café in the middle of their main park. Not a lot of space to sit down, it’s mainly focused on ice cream summertime. But they have simple foods and vegan options.
Big, fancier café next to the public library. Not vegan-friendly.
Used to be a Wayne’s Coffee. Near the station. Good prices. Would say good to sit down with a laptop but the wifi is incredibly slow.
Libanese food. One of the more popular choices for vegan food.
Small café but excellent for a short stop or coffee to go.
Small but great place if you like comics, mangas and graphic novels.
If you like books, this is the place to go. Packed with books of all genres and rather big.
Bigger than Seriezonen and more emphasis on board games and card games. Has comics, mangas and graphic novels.
What you’d expect from a 800 year old cathedral. Nice if you’re sightseeing.
The old town, located a bit away from the modern center.
Doesn’t look like a castle. Boring. And inside is a small museum of modern art.
Once of the most praised contemporary buildings in Sweden.
Contemporary architecture, but nothing special.
